On Friday, Oct. 26, Duckworth’s Park will donate a dollar from every Hope’s Stout sold to March Forth With Hope. If you donate $10 or more to March Forth With Hope, you will receive a NoDa Brewing snifter. The Ballantyne Duckworth’s location will be doing the very same thing Saturday night.
Hope Stout — the girl who inspired so many before losing her battle with cancer — would have been 21 this year. We’ll never know if she would have enjoyed a craft beer on her 21st birthday, much less if she would enjoy the dark beer that shares her name. What we do know is that she was a selfless, caring person who, instead of making a wish herself, saw that the wishes of 155 other children were granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is this giving spirit that has led NoDa Brewing to partner with the March Forth With Hope Foundation to brew Hope’s Stout, a 4.0% ABV milk stout brewed with cocoa nibs that impart a sweetness not unlike the girl who inspired it.
Hope’s parents, friends and family as well as NoDa Brewing’s head brewer, Chad Henderson, will be in attendance. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
