Tickets for the 15th annual Charlotte Oktoberfest — to be held at the N.C. Music Factory on Sept. 28 — are officially on sale. There are two ticket options: a $40 general admission ticket and a $60 premium ticket, which allows you to enter the festival an hour and a half before everyone else. (You can also win a VIP package for two through the festival’s Instagram video contest.)
The venue will be a new one for the festival, which has been held at the Metrolina Expo since 2009. A month ago, the Carolina BrewMasters announced that the 15th annual Charlotte Oktoberfest would be held at the NC Music Factory. The new venue offers a location that is closer to downtown and all of its hotel and transportation options. Also, should the heavens decide to open up as they did last year, it likely won’t be as muddy a venue as the Expo grounds.
Charlotte’s own SugarSmaX will be opening the stage for Southern Culture on the Skids, who headlined the 10th annual Charlotte Oktoberfest in 2008.
Last year, the festival raised more than $69,000 for local charities. This year, they will raise fund for some new charity partners, including Project Halo, Classroom Central and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
Charlotte Oktoberfest sells out every year — it’s just a matter of when. Get your tickets before they sell out, and be sure to check out Ryan Self’s “Do’s and Don’ts for a Great Charlotte Oktoberfest“!
